City Year Featured in New “Becoming Big Bet-Ready” Toolkit

Bridgespan has released a new toolkit based on their “Big Bets” work to help nonprofit organizations think about how to position themselves for a major investment to advance social change. The resource features City Year and its partnership with the Einhorn Family Charitable Trust and the Lavine family as one of the “big bet concept” examples, and also includes tools with key questions organizations need to answer in order to secure a "big bet" investment.

A guide published by Community Wealth Partners, Creating a Partnership Strategy: A Field Guide, offers insights on how organizations should approach building and managing effective partnerships. In addition to providing actionable tools, the guide features a case study of City Year and BellXcel’s pilot partnership to help mitigate summer learning loss and ensure continued learning and engagement year-round.

Help City Year share its strategies for student success, educational equity and youth development at one of the biggest education conferences of the year, SXSW EDU.

City Year has submitted five sessions for consideration. SXSW EDU is crowdsourcing votes from the public to help make its programming decisions, and voting is open now until the end of this week, Aug. 23!
